Requirements needed for a stable connection
1. Your device is charged and worn properly
Charge your watch to at least 45%.
Wear the watch snugly on your wrist, positioned above the wrist bone.
2. Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS or Android device.
Keep your watch and phone within Bluetooth range.
3. Android devices only
3. 1. Turn on Location or Nearby devices (Android 12 or newer)
How to enable it: Access your phone's Settings → Apps → Polsen Health → Permissions → Nearby devices. If this permission is turned off, the app won’t be able to detect or connect to your Bluetooth device.
3.2. Confirm the pairing pop-up
When pairing for the first time, your Android phone will display a system pop-up in the app requesting permission to pair. Make sure to confirm it. Dismissing or ignoring it can cause unexpected behaviour during the pairing process. Learn what to do if this happens here.
4. Pair via the app
Always pair your watch via the Polsen app, not via your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
5. Your watch isn't already paired elsewhere
Polsen watches connect to only one phone or app instance at a time.
Check your phone’s Bluetooth settings and confirm the serial number shown matches the one on the back of your watch.
If you see an old or unmatched watch serial number, remove or forget it from your Bluetooth list.
If your watch was previously paired with another phone, check how to correctly pair it to the right phone in this article.
6. You're using the latest app and software updates
Update to the latest version of the Polsen app. Learn how to do this here.
Make sure your phone’s operating system is up to date. Learn how to do this here.
7. Give it a minute for the connection to establish
- Open the app and wait at least one minute. The connection may take a few seconds to establish.
- Do not close the app if it doesn't connect.
- Instead, tap “Reconnect" in the Device Details screen (watch icon at the top right of the Home screen).
What to do if you have connection issues
If the connection doesn't establish after meeting all requirements, access the following articles based on your situation for more details on what to do next:
- I can't pair my watch to the app for the first time
- I can’t connect my watch to the app
- I can’t connect my watch to a new phone
