In this article, you’ll learn what’s required for vibrations to work on your NOWATCH, when different types of vibrations are triggered, and what to do if vibrations become weaker or stop.
Vibration requirements
For vibrations to work as expected, make sure all of the following conditions are met:
Bluetooth is turned on on your phone.
Your NOWATCH and phone are within Bluetooth range.
Your watch is connected to the app.
The NOWATCH app is open or running in the background.
Random and/or Prolonged Stress vibrations are enabled in the app settings. Learn more in this article.
Random vibrations
Random vibrations occur between 10:00 and 18:00.
They trigger up to the number of times you selected in the app.
Prolonged Stress vibrations
These vibrations become available once your Reactivity Monitor is ready.
This usually takes up to 5 days, as long as you collect at least 6 hours of data per day.
A vibration triggers when a stress response lasts longer than your selected duration (between 5 and 20 minutes).
Alarm vibrations
Alarm vibrations trigger at the time you set.
The vibration lasts up to one minute.
You can stop it by briefly pressing the crown once.
Reboot and reset vibrations
When rebooting the watch, it is expected to feel a longer vibration.
When resetting the watch, it is expected to feel a vibration pattern.
If Random or Prolonged Stress vibrations become weaker or stop triggering
Try rebooting your watch to restore vibration functionality:
While wearing the watch, press and hold the crown for about 15 seconds until you feel a vibration.
