In this article, you’ll learn what to check and what steps to take if the green LED sensors on the back of your NOWATCH don’t light up while wearing it.
- Check your battery level
- Update your firmware and app
- Force-close and reopen the app
- Place your watch on the charger
- Reboot your NOWATCH
If the green sensors on the back of your NOWATCH aren’t lighting up while you're wearing it, follow the steps below to restore sensor activity.
1. Check your battery level
Sensor lights may stay off when the battery level is too low.
Charge your NOWATCH fully, or make sure it is above 50%, especially after a reset.
2. Update your firmware and app
Make sure you’re using the latest versions of both the NOWATCH app and firmware. Updates often include improvements that help with sensor activation.
3. Force-close and reopen the app
Close the NOWATCH app completely, wait a few seconds, and reopen it. Check whether the sensors turn on once the connection is re-established.
4. Place your watch on the charger
Put your NOWATCH on the charger for 30 seconds, then remove it. The sensors should briefly light up, even without skin contact.
5. Reboot your NOWATCH
If the sensors are still off, reboot your watch:
- Force-close the NOWATCH app.
- While wearing the watch, press and hold the crown of your device for about 15 seconds until it vibrates.
- Check if your sensors light up.
