What is the Now Screen

The Now screen (Home) is the first view you see when you open the app. It gives you a real-time snapshot of your current state, key metrics, and quick access to essential features.

From this screen, you can adjust settings, check your device connection, view your Reactivity Monitor, log a Check-in, manage vibrations, and access real-life (now) and today's data.

Header: Settings and Device Details

At the top of the Now screen, you’ll find quick access to:

Settings

Tap the gear icon in the top-left corner to customize your preferences and view important personal details.

Device Details

Tap the watch-shaped icon in the top-right corner to open the Device Details screen. This icon shows:

Your watch’s battery percentage
Your connection status

A green circle means your watch is connected.
A red circle means the app is not connected to your device.

Check-in and Check-in vibrations

Below the chart, you’ll find:

Check-in button: Log how you’re feeling in the moment. You can also log a check-in by pressing the NOWATCH crown once. Learn more in this article.

Vibrations button: Enable or disable Random and Prolonged Stress vibrations.

Prolonged Stress vibrations become available only once your Reactivity Monitor is active and has gathered enough data. Until then, this option remains disabled.

This section shows your Reactivity Monitor for the past hour, highlighting states that are more or less reactive.

Tap the chart to open the Timeline.
If you’re a new user, Reactivity Monitor insights won’t appear immediately. Initial stress responses typically show within 5–7 days, as long as you collect at least 6 hours of data per day. Calibration continues to improve over the first 60 days.

Now

Below the Reactivity Monitor, you’ll see four cards showing real-time insights. Tap any card to view details in the Timeline:

Heart Rate (HR): Beats per minute. You'll notice that the heart icon blinks, tap the card, and keep pressing to feel your heart beating in real time.
Since last moved: Time since your last movement
Steps: Total steps today and steps in the past hour
Motion: Level of movement (iOS only)

The colors of these cards reflect your current Reactivity Monitor state.

Today

This section provides a broader overview of your health trends. These metrics aren’t live data. They show insights based on data collected earlier in the day.

If you tap any card, it will take you to the Overview screen, except when tapping Reactivity, which brings you to the Timeline.

Available metrics include:

Average Stress Recovery
Stress Frequency
A summary of how you're managing stress today. To read more about your state, tap Learn more.
Reactivity Time
Intense Activity

Actions

Start an activity
Log a sleep manually
Log your period: Under the menstrual cycle card, you can also see your cycle day

Sync states

While data is syncing, you may temporarily see dashes instead of values, and the Reactivity Monitor may be unavailable. This is expected.

Once the sync bar completes, all data (now and today) will become visible. If you logged activities or sleep during syncing, those may appear first.

Understanding missing data

Depending on whether you’re wearing your watch and connected, you may see different states:

Not wearing your watch, but still connected

Now data: Not available (shown in real time only)
Today's data: Available for earlier periods when the watch was worn

Not wearing your watch and not connected

Now data: Not available
Today's data: Not available unless you manually log an activity or sleep

Connected but didn’t wear the watch at all that day

Now data: Not available
Today's data: Not available

Quick Actions

Quick Actions let you take action fast using the “+” icon in the bottom-right corner of the Now screen.

From here, you can:

Alarm: You can set an alarm to wake up with gentle vibrations. Currently, one alarm per day is supported.
Log Sleep (iOS only): Manually log or adjust sleep if needed. Especially useful if something looks off in your sleep data or after taking a nap.
Log Period: Tapping this action takes you to the cycle calendar, where you can select your period dates.
Live Activity: Start a physical or non-physical activity. You can also start an activity by double-pressing the NOWATCH crown.
