In this article, you’ll learn what the Intentions screen is, what types of intentions and guided sessions we offer, and what you can expect after each session.
What are Intentions?
Intentions are short, guided exercises or sessions designed to help you intentionally shift your mental and emotional state. They support moments of calm, focus, energy, or positivity, depending on what you need at the time.
Intentions require no equipment, can be done anywhere, and are designed to fit easily into your day. Each session includes a soundscape to support focus and relaxation.
The Intentions feature is currently available on iOS devices only.
Types of Intentions
There are four intention categories, each designed to support a different state of mind:
1. Return to Calm
Helps reduce stress in the moment or maintain a sense of calm.
2. Harness Stress
Supports shifting from distress to focused engagement.
3. Boost Energy
Useful when you feel low on energy or feel stuck and need a mental reset.
4. Feel Positive
Helps reframe your mindset and move from negative to more positive thoughts.
Session types within each Intention
Each Intention offers three types of sessions:
1. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Short, science-backed exercises that encourage healthier thinking patterns and support emotional regulation.
2. Breathing exercises
Guided breathing techniques, such as resonance breathing and 1:2 breathing, are designed to influence your autonomic nervous system and help regulate how you feel.
3. Unguided (open) sessions
Allows you to observe real-time changes in your Heart Rate Variability (HRV), offering insights into how different activities affect your body.
After each session
After completing a session, you’ll receive a detailed report showing:
Reactivity Monitor
Heart Rate
HRV
These insights help you understand how your body responded before and after the session.
All completed sessions are saved under Recent Sessions at the bottom of the screen for later review.
