In this article, you'll learn why the Set the time button (NOWATCH B) may not appear in the app and how to get it to show again.
Why is the Set the time button missing?
The Set the time button lets you recalibrate your NOWATCH B's watch hands directly from the app. You'll find it in the Device Details screen. Tap the watch icon in the top right corner of the Now tab to access it.
If the button isn't visible, the app may not have captured your device type information. This can happen after a connectivity issue between your NOWATCH and the app.
Troubleshooting steps
Toggle Bluetooth off and on
- Open your phone's Settings and turn Bluetooth off.
- Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
- Open the NOWATCH app, go to Device Details, and reconnect.
If your device type now appears and Set the time is available, no further steps are needed.
Reboot your NOWATCH
If toggling Bluetooth didn't help, try rebooting your device:
- Force-close the NOWATCH app.
- Put your NOWATCH on your wrist.
- Press and hold the crown for 15 seconds until you feel a vibration.
- If the device vibrates, the reboot was successful.
- Reopen the app and wait a few seconds.
No vibration? The battery may be too low. Fully charge your NOWATCH, then repeat the steps above.
Reset your mobile phone
Still having the same issue? Reset your mobile phone. Get the details per platform below.
iOS
Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Erase All Content and Settings
Android
Settings → General Management (or System) → Reset → Factory Data Reset
Note that exact steps vary by Android manufacturer (Samsung, Google, etc.).
Last resort: Factory reset
If the steps above didn't resolve the issue:
- Open the NOWATCH app.
- Access the Device Details screen.
- Tap Unpair this watch, and fully close the app.
- Access your phone's Bluetooth settings and forget the NOWATCH device from Bluetooth.
- Reopen the app.
- Access the Device Details screen and try pairing via the app.
Important: A factory reset will erase any data stored on the watch that has not yet synced to the app. Make sure the app has synced before proceeding.
