In this article, you’ll learn how Prolonged Stress vibrations work, what’s required for them to trigger, and how to check whether they’re functioning correctly.
Prolonged Stress vibrations
Prolonged Stress vibrations are gentle body cues that help you notice when your body has been in a stress response for an extended period. They are designed to support awareness and help you regulate in the moment.
A vibration can trigger when stress lasts 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the duration you select.
Requirements
For Prolonged Stress vibrations to work, all of the following must be true:
Your watch is connected, worn on your wrist, and tracking data as expected.
The app is open or running in the background.
-
Your Reactivity Monitor is available
This usually takes up to 5 days, as long as you collect at least 6 hours of data per day.
The Prolonged Stress Vibration toggle is enabled in the app.
You experience a stress response that lasts longer than your selected threshold (between 5 and 20 minutes). Check the Timeline > Reactivity Monitor chart to ensure this is accurate.
How to check if Prolonged Stress vibrations are working
If you’re unsure whether Prolonged Stress vibrations are triggering correctly, try the following:
Temporarily disable Random vibrations and alarm vibrations.
Continue wearing your watch as usual.
If your watch vibrates when a stress response lasts longer than your selected duration, Prolonged Stress vibrations are working as expected.
If you don’t feel any vibration after meeting all requirements, try rebooting your watch and checking your vibration settings again. If that doesn't work, reach out to our Customer Care team for assistance.
