- When to reach out
If your NOWATCH battery remains fully drained after charging, there may be an issue with how the device is charging or with the device itself. Follow the checks below to confirm everything is working as expected.
Check that the charger is working correctly
NOWATCH X charger
Place the watch on the charger with the crown positioned opposite the charging cable.
Make sure the LED lights on the charger turn on when the watch is placed on it.
A full charge takes up to 3 hours.
Once fully charged, the LED lights should blink on and off.
NOWATCH B charger
Place the watch on the charger with the crown positioned opposite the charging cable.
Make sure the straight edge on the watch base aligns with the straight edge on the charger.
The watch should sit securely on the charger and should not rotate or move.
When placed correctly, the watch hands will move to the 12:00 position, confirming the watch is charging.
A full charge takes up to 3 hours.
Check that the watch is responding after charging
Once the watch has been on the charger:
Check if the sensors light up
Wear the watch on your wrist and check whether the green LED sensors on the back light up.
If the sensors are not lighting up:
- Ensure the watch has been charged recently, or ensure it's above 50%. Check the battery percentage in the top right of the Now tab.
- Your firmware and app are up to date.
- Force-close and reopen the app.
- Place your watch on the charger for 30 seconds, then remove it. The sensors should briefly light up, even without skin contact.
- If that doesn't fix the issue, reboot your NOWATCH: Force-close the NOWATCH app. While wearing the watch, press and hold the crown of your device for about 15 seconds until it vibrates. Check if the sensors light up.
Reboot the watch to confirm it vibrates
Wear the watch on your wrist.
Press and hold the crown for about 15 seconds.
You should feel a vibration, confirming the reboot.
