What is a factory reset?
A factory reset fully restarts your NOWATCH and removes all stored data on the device. It clears previous connections and settings so you can set up the watch as if it were new.
This can help fix pairing or connection issues, but any data that was stored on the watch and wasn’t synced to the app before the reset will be permanently lost.
Initial steps before doing a factory reset
- Ensure your NOWATCH is charged to at least 40%.
- Completely close the NOWATCH app.
- Forget your NOWATCH serial number from your phone's Bluetooth settings. This step is extremely important for the factory reset to be successful.

Perform a factory reset
- Place your NOWATCH on the charger.

Press and hold the NOWATCH crown. You will feel a vibration pattern. Keep pressing the crown and count internally to 15 seconds after the final vibration before releasing it, to ensure no further vibrations occur.
- Remove the NOWATCH from the charger and place it on your wrist.
- In the NOWATCH app, tap Device Details (watch-shaped icon at the top right corner of the NOW tab), tap Connect.

Follow the in-app instructions to complete the connection between your watch and the app.
