In this article, you’ll learn how to manually log your sleep , where to view your sleep data, how to confirm or reject detected sleep , edit sleep and awakening times , and delete sleep entries when needed.
Automatic sleep detection
In most cases, the app automatically detects when you’re sleeping, so there’s no need to log it manually.
When sleep is detected, a banner appears at the top of the Now tab. From there, you can:
Confirm the detected sleep time
Edit the detected sleep time
Dismiss the suggestion by tapping the X icon
Tapping the banner opens the Sleep Summary screen, where you can explore detailed insights from the previous night.
Where to view your detected sleep
You can see both confirmed and unconfirmed sleep entries in the Timeline .

Appears as a color-filled sleep pill
Tap it i to find the edit icon.
Tap the edit icon to modify the sleep time if needed
Logging sleep manually
When to log sleep manually
If the app didn’t automatically detect your sleep — for example, during short naps or irregular sleep periods — we recommend logging it manually. This helps prevent data gaps that could affect your Sleep Regularity, Sleep Duration, and the accuracy of AI-generated reports.
How to log sleep manually
From the Now tab
Tap the + icon at the bottom right corner.
Select Log Sleep .
Adjust asleep and awake times
Optionally add awakenings (start and end awakening times)
Tap Save .
Alternative method (iOS only)
Go to the Timeline
Tap the + icon at a specific time on any chart
Select Log Sleep
Complete asleep and awake times, as well as awakening times
Tap Save
How to edit sleep
Go to the Timeline
Tap the moon icon at the top of any chart
Tap the edit icon on the sleep banner
Adjust asleep, awake and awakening times if needed
Tap Save
Important: If the new asleep time is earlier than the current awake time, edit the awake time first . Otherwise, the system won’t allow the change.
How to delete sleep
Go to the Timeline
Tap the moon icon
Tap the edit icon
Scroll down and tap Delete sleep log
