Learn how to enable notifications on NOWATCH to get alerts when your battery is low, reminders to check in, and make sure they stay active.
How to enable notifications
During onboarding When you first set up your NOWATCH, you'll be prompted to enable notifications as part of the onboarding flow.
After onboarding If you skipped this step or want to change your notification settings, you can enable them at any time:
- Open the NOWATCH app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Notifications.
- Turn notifications on.
What you'll be notified about
Low battery alert You'll receive an alert when your battery is running low, giving you time to charge before the watch fully drains. This also helps prevent data loss caused by an unexpected shutdown. For more information, see Low battery notification.
Check-in reminders You'll receive reminders to check in directly on your phone. These come in two forms:
- Random prompts: occasional reminders to check in and build the habit over time.
- Stress-related prompts: reminders timed around moments when your body's signals suggest it may be a good time to pause.
Good to know
For check-in notifications to reach you, the NOWATCH app needs to be open or running in the background. If the app is fully closed, notifications will not come through.
Enabling notifications is recommended to ensure the best possible app experience and help prevent data loss caused by battery drain.
