What does firmware mean?
The firmware is the software built into your NOWATCH device. It keeps your watch running smoothly and enables new features. When an update is available, you’ll receive a message in the app prompting you to install it.
We recommend updating whenever a new version is released by our Technical team, as updates often include improvements, fixes, and support for new functionality.
How to view your firmware version
Your NOWATCH must be connected to the app to show the firmware version. To check it:
Open the Now tab.
Tap the watch icon at the top right (Device Details screen).
Your current firmware version will be displayed on this screen.
Before updating your firmware (good-to-know)
Make sure your NOWATCH has at least 80% battery.
Place your watch on the charger and keep it there for the entire update.
During installation, it’s normal for your NOWATCH and the app to disconnect and reconnect several times.
The update may take several minutes—avoid interrupting the process.
How to update your firmware
Open the Now tab.
If a firmware update banner appears, tap it and follow the in-app instructions.
If no banner is shown, tap the watch icon in the top right corner (Device Details screen).
Remove your NOWATCH from your wrist and place it on the charger.
-
Tap Firmware Update if a new version is available.
If no update is available, the button will be disabled.
