Stone sourcing and sustainability
We carefully source our stones with a strong focus on origin, ethical practices, and material efficiency.
Origin of stones
Our collection features stones sourced primarily from India, as well as Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. We collaborate with a small, family-owned cutting atelier based in Rajasthan, India.
Direct trade and traceability
We prioritize transparency by working directly with mines and small-scale sellers. This approach supports ethical sourcing and helps reduce waste throughout the supply chain.
Material use and waste reduction
To minimize environmental impact, we aim to use 80–90% of each stone. Subpar materials are returned for exchange, helping prevent unnecessary resource waste.
Environmental and social responsibility
We strive to balance quality, ethics, and sustainability in both sourcing and product design.
Regulations and ethical standards
Stone sourcing in India is governed by strict mining regulations with government oversight to help prevent child labour and environmentally harmful practices.
Working conditions
As our partnerships grow, we aim to collaborate more closely with mines to support continuous improvements in working conditions.
Sustainable materials
Wherever possible, we use recycled and eco-friendly materials, such as ocean-bound PET plastic.
Durability and longevity
Our products are built with high-quality components designed to last. This reduces the need for replacements and helps lower our overall environmental footprint.
