In this article, you'll find best practices for wearing your NOWATCH in the sauna, what temperature limits to keep in mind, and which strap to use.
Device and temperature guidelines
Both NOWATCH X and NOWATCH B are built to handle normal temperature changes, making them suitable for sauna use. However, avoid exposure above 60°C (140°F), as high heat can permanently damage internal components.
For full care and temperature guidelines, refer to the Water resistance and temperature guidelines section in our care article.
Strap recommendations for the sauna
Even if our device is suitable for sauna, not all straps are equally suited for these conditions. Here's what to keep in mind:
| Strap type | Sauna use |
|---|---|
| Sport (FKM) strap | ✅ Recommended — waterproof, sweat-resistant, and heat-tolerant |
| Woven strap | ❌ Not recommended — absorbs moisture and may degrade over time |
| Leather strap | ❌ Not recommended — heat and moisture can permanently damage the material |
