In this article, you’ll learn how to properly care for your NOWATCH, whether you have an X or B device, including cleaning tips, water and temperature guidelines, and how to maintain your straps so they last longer and stay comfortable.
Device care
To keep your NOWATCH X looking and performing its best, follow these simple care tips:
Regular cleaning – Wipe the case with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and smudges.
Avoid abrasives – Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can cause discoloration or surface damage.
Avoid extreme conditions – Keep your device away from extreme temperatures and chemicals to preserve its longevity.
Water resistance and temperature guidelines
Water resistance
All NOWATCH models are water-resistant up to 5 ATM (50 meters). This means they are safe for:
Handwashing
Rain
Showering
Important notes
Measurement accuracy may be reduced when the device is submerged.
We do not recommend wearing your NOWATCH in the ocean or sea. Saltwater and sand can damage materials and sensors over time.
Heat exposure
NOWATCH can handle normal temperature changes, but avoid exposure above 60°C (140°F). High heat can permanently damage internal components.

Disc care (NOWATCH X only)
- Remove the disc for regular cleaning – Remove and clean your disc with a microfiber regularly to prevent it from getting stuck.
- Do not force the disc – Never push or pull it in or out of the case. Instead, use the magnet on the back of the charger to safely insert or remove the disc.
-
Small suction cup use – If the disc becomes stuck and you can't remove it from the case, use a small suction cup to gently lift it out without damaging the device.
-
How to remove the disc with the suction cup:
- Make sure the surface is clean and dry: Wipe the disc lightly so the suction cup can grip properly.
- Press the suction cup firmly onto the disc: Place it in the center if possible and press down to create a good seal.
- Pull gently but steadily: Hold the NOWATCH with one hand and pull the suction cup straight up with the other. No twisting or sudden jerks. Slow and steady works best.
- Remove the disc: Once it loosens, the disc should come off smoothly.
-
Helpful tips
- If it doesn’t come off on the first try, reposition the suction cup and try again.
- Avoid using sharp tools or excessive force. This can damage the device.
- If the suction feels weak, slightly moisten the suction cup (just a bit).
-
How to remove the disc with the suction cup:
- Choose the right disc for your activity and lifestyle – Avoid wearing the Time Disc during high-impact activities, as repeated impact may cause it to loosen or fall out. Learn more about which discs are best suited for different activities and lifestyles in this article.
Strap care
Remove straps from the watch – Always ensure to remove the straps before cleaning them to avoid damaging the case or disc.
Clean the straps regularly – Regular cleaning helps stay hygienic, preventing odor and skin irritation; maintain comfort, keeping the strap soft and fresh; and extend lifespan, preventing cracking, stiffness, and fraying.
Let them air dry before wearing – Allow your straps to fully air dry before reattaching them to your watch and wearing them. This helps prevent moisture buildup and reduces the risk of skin irritation.
