A few simple habits can keep your watch in great shape. Learn cleaning tips, as well as water, temperature, and sauna advice.
Device care
To keep your NOWATCH X looking and performing its best, follow these simple care tips:
Regular cleaning: Wipe the case with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and smudges.
Avoid abrasives: Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can cause discoloration or surface damage.
Avoid extreme conditions: Keep your device away from extreme temperatures and chemicals to preserve its longevity.
Can I wear my NOWATCH in the water?
All NOWATCH models are water-resistant up to 5 ATM (50 meters). This means they are safe for:
Handwashing
Rain
Showering
Important notes
Measurement accuracy may be reduced when the device is submerged.
We do not recommend wearing your NOWATCH in the ocean or sea. Saltwater and sand can damage materials and sensors over time.
Can I wear my NOWATCH in the sauna?
Both NOWATCH X and NOWATCH B are built to handle normal temperature changes, making them suitable for sauna use. However, avoid exposure above 60°C (140°F), as high heat can permanently damage internal components.
Strap recommendations for the sauna
Even if our device is suitable for the sauna, not all straps are equally suited for these conditions.
Here's what to keep in mind:
| Strap type | Sauna use |
|---|---|
| Sport (FKM) strap | ✅ Recommended: waterproof, sweat-resistant, and heat-tolerant |
| Woven strap | ❌ Not recommended: absorbs moisture and may degrade over time |
| Leather strap | ❌ Not recommended: heat and moisture can permanently damage the material |
