Many people think that sleep is an inactive state of the body, but that’s not true. During sleep, the brain is actively performing several processes to make sure you feel restored the next morning. 

There are different stages that you will go through during the night: Awake, REM-sleep, Light sleep and Deep sleep. Each sleep stage plays a different role in your mental and physical health.
