Stress gauge: Understand Your Stress Response

The Stress gauge helps you understand how much stress you experience, as we often perceive it poorly. It shows how your body experiences and recovers from stress, helps identify potential triggers, and allows you to recognise days when you are more or less stress-sensitive.

Key Terms

  • Calm Zone: Your body’s natural state when you’re calmly engaged in regular activities, like working, chatting, or reading, without noticeable physical changes.

  • Reactivity: Any physical response to specific situations, whether from internal factors (like emotions) or external ones (like exercise). The Stress Gauge monitors and differentiates these reactions, including changes in heart rate, sweating, or other signs of stress.

How to Read the Stress Gauge?

The Stress gauge uses colours to indicate different types of responses:

  • Blue: Physical activity, such as exercise or movement.

  • Purple: Emotional reactions, like stress or excitement.

When the Stress gauge shows reactivity above the Calm Zone, your body is responding to a situation. Recognising these moments helps you understand your triggers and manage them effectively.
