Manual Sleep Log

Manually logging sleep might be useful if you want to prevent a gap in your sleep data from impacting your Sleep Regularity, Sleep Duration calculation or Reflection reports.

Sleep Detection

When sleep is detected, a banner notification will appear at the top of the Now tab.

You can interact with the banner in the following ways:

  • Confirm the detected sleep time.

  • Edit the detected sleep time.

  • Dismiss the suggested sleep time by tapping the cross button in the top-right corner.

Where to view Sleep

As a user, you can view both confirmed and unconfirmed sleep entries on your Timeline.

  1. Unconfirmed Sleep

    • If the sleep is unconfirmed, it will appear on the Timeline with a Sleep pill.

    • Clicking on the Sleep pill will allow you to either Accept or Reject the detected sleep time.

  2. Confirmed Sleep

    • If the sleep has been confirmed, the banner will show an Edit button, allowing you to modify the detected sleep time if necessary.

Managing your Sleep Logs

To log sleep:
  1. Go to the NOW tab.

  2. Tap the + icon at the bottom right corner.

  3. Select Log Sleep.

  4. Adjust the asleep and awake times as needed. You can also add any awakenings, and include details such as whether it was a nap, if you felt you got enough sleep, whether your sleep was restless, and how you felt upon waking.

  5. Tap Save.

An alternative way to log sleep
  1. Go to the Timeline tab.

  2. Tap the + icon at a specific time on the graph.

  3. Select Log Sleep.

  4. Tap Save.

This log alternative is available on iOS devices only.

To edit sleep:
  1. Access the Timeline tab.

  2. Tap the moon icon for sleep, then tap the edit icon on the sleep banner.

Modify asleep and awake times, awakenings, and additional sleep details.

To delete sleep:
  1. Access the Timeline tab.

  2. Tap the moon icon for sleep, then tap the edit icon on the sleep banner.

  3. Scroll down and tap Delete sleep log.
