Best practices for accurate data

The way you wear and use your NOWATCH directly impacts the accuracy and consistency of all measurements. To ensure accurate data, please follow these recommended best practices:

  1. NOWATCH orientation and placement. The NOWATCH crown should always point to 8 o'clock. Wear your NOWATCH snugly on your wrist, ensuring a secure fit.
Position the device on the top side of your wrist, about a finger's width from the base. The sensors should not cover your knuckles. Avoid wearing the NOWATCH too loosely or tightly, as this may affect the accuracy of measurements.

During workouts or physical activities, make sure the device remains in contact with your skin to capture accurate movement data.

Please note that, as with all wearable devices, the more (intense) movement there is, the harder it is to get accurate data.

  2. Firmware and App updates. It is important that you use the latest app and firmware versions as we regularly update them with new functions, improvements, and bug fixes.

Movement - Step counter

Some users have noted a variance in step counts between NOWATCH and other devices This is to be expected to some extent. Each device has usage specifics and distinct algorithms with different thresholds for what ultimately gets counted as steps.
That said, rest assured, we are continuously investigating these observations and are working on finding a solution.
