How to Ensure Accurate Data
The way you wear and use your NOWATCH impacts the accuracy and consistency of measurements. To ensure accurate data, consider the following:
Proper orientation and placement
Orientation: The NOWATCH crown should point to 8 o'clock.
Fit: Wear it snugly on your wrist, about a finger's width from the base, avoiding knuckles. Ensure it's not too loose or tight.
During Physical Activity
Keep the device in contact with your skin to ensure consistent data.
If NOWATCH is submerged in water, data will likely not be collected.
Firmware and App Updates
Always use the latest versions of the app and firmware for optimal performance, new features, and bug fixes.
Check out how to do this below:
The app functions better when it is open or running in the background, as closing it can disrupt proper data syncing. While the device can store data for up to 24 hours, any unsynced data will be overwritten if the app isn’t open during that period.
Data Syncing Issues
If you're experiencing issues with data not updating on your NOWATCH, follow these steps to get your device syncing properly again.
1. Check Device Pairing
Ensure your NOWATCH is properly paired with the app. To check this follow the steps below:
Open the app and go to the NOW tab.
Tap Settings (the watch icon in the top-right corner).
If the device is connected, you’ll see the status ‘Connected’ displayed below the battery icon.
2. Update Firmware and App Version as explained on the previous step above.
3. Ensure Sensors Are Active
When you wear your NOWATCH, the green LED light sensors on the back should light up. This indicates that the sensors are functioning correctly and tracking data as expected.
Additional tips for Improving Data Syncing
If you're still experiencing issues with data syncing, try the following additional tips to ensure your NOWATCH stays connected:
Keep the NOWATCH app running in the background on your phone throughout the day. This will help maintain consistent data syncing.
Reboot your device: If the data still doesn’t update after following these steps, try rebooting your NOWATCH. You can find the reboot instructions here.
Following these steps should resolve most issues with data gaps and data not syncing. We value your feedback, please let us know if this guide helped you solve the issue.
