Ensure accurate data and improve data syncing
The way you wear and use your NOWATCH impacts the accuracy and consistency of measurements. To ensure accurate data, consider the following:
1. Wear the device properly
The NOWATCH crown should point to 8 o'clock.
Wear it snugly on your wrist, about a finger's width from the base, avoiding knuckles. Ensure it's not too loose or tight.
During Physical Activity:
Keep the device in contact with your skin to ensure consistent data.
If NOWATCH is submerged in water, data will likely not be collected.
2. Keep your firmware and app up to date
Always use the latest versions of the app and firmware for optimal performance, new features, and bug fixes.
3. Keep the app running for proper syncing
The app functions better when it is open or running in the background, as closing it can disrupt proper data syncing.
While the device can store data for up to 24 hours, any unsynced data will be overwritten if the app isn’t open during that period.
4. Check Device Pairing
Ensure your NOWATCH is properly paired with the app. To check this follow the steps below:
Open the app and go to the Now tab.
Tap the Device Details icon (the watch-shaped icon in the top-right corner).
If the device is connected, you’ll see the status ‘Connected’ displayed below the battery icon.
5. Ensure sensors are active
When you wear your NOWATCH, the green LED light sensors on the back should light up. This indicates that the sensors are functioning correctly and tracking data as expected.
6. Reboot the device
If the data still doesn’t update after following these steps, try rebooting your NOWATCH. You can find the reboot instructions here.
