App & Features FAQ

Find answers to frequently asked questions related to the app.

Is my data safe?

NOWATCH resets your relationship with technology so that it works for you subtly, securely and with complete privacy.

It enables you to enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits that data can bring, without usual payoff in loss of privacy, control and ownership of your information.

We will never sell your data.

Do I need a subscription to use the NOWATCH app?

No, the NOWATCH app is free to use, with no hidden costs or subscriptions, focusing instead on providing actionable insights to help you build stress resilience.

Is NOWATCH compatible with both iOS and Android devices?

NOWATCH is compatible with iOS (version 15.0 or newer) and Android (version 10 or newer).

It tracks key health metrics like Sleep, Activity, and Heart Rate, with a core focus on what’s often the root cause of health issues: Stress.

Why isn’t my Stress Gauge showing right away?

The Stress Gauge takes a few days to appear because your NOWATCH first needs to gather enough baseline data about your body.

As long as you're collecting at least 6 hours of data per day, your initial Stress Gauge should show up within 5 days.

This ensures your stress estimates are personalized and accurate. After that, it keeps fine-tuning in the background over the next 60 days as it learns more about your patterns.

Why am I missing data in the Overview screen?

Some metrics in the Overview tab may be missing if there hasn’t been enough recent data to calculate them accurately.

Here's what’s needed for each:

  • Stress Duration & Intense Activity: At least 6 hours of wear that day.

  • Stress Frequency: At least 6 hours of data that day.

  • Stress Recovery: At least 10 days of wear in the past month.

  • Resting Heart Rate (RHR):

    • Daily RHR: At least 6 hours of wear that day.

    • Typical RHR: At least 10 days of wear in the past month.

  • Sleep Heart Rate Variability (HRV): At least 10 days of wear in the past month.

If you're missing data, make sure you’re wearing your NOWATCH consistently, ideally more than 6 hours a day, so that you get the most complete insights.

Why doesn’t the Android app have all the same features as iOS?

We’re actively working on bringing more features and improvements to Android.

A new version of the app, with bug fixes and feature updates, is released approximately every two weeks. That said, our Android team is still relatively small (three developers), so some features may take a bit longer to match what's available on iOS.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to improve the NOWATCH experience.

Is the NOWATCH app integrated with other apps?

At the moment, the NOWATCH app is not integrated with other platforms like Apple Health, Google Fit, or Strava. We understand the value of syncing data across apps and it's something we may be exploring for the future. Stay tuned for updates!

How can I make the most out of the NOWATCH app?

To keep your NOWATCH running smoothly and ensure accurate tracking, follow these tips:

  1. Ensure a Proper Fit
Wear your NOWATCH snugly with the crown pointing toward the 8 o’clock position. This helps the sensors stay in good contact with your skin for the most accurate readings.

  2. Charge Regularly
Charge your NOWATCH every 4 days and avoid letting the battery drop below 20% too often. A well-charged device ensures continuous tracking and better long-term performance.

  3. Keep Your App and Firmware Updated
Always install the latest versions of the NOWATCH app and firmware. Updates improve performance and add new features.

  4. Sync Your Data Daily
Open the NOWATCH app at least once a day with your watch nearby to sync data. Keeping the app open in the background allows for uninterrupted syncing, which typically takes about 5 minutes. If the app is closed or swiped away, syncing restarts and may be delayed.

  5. Reboot if Needed
If you're running into issues, a simple reboot can often help.

By following these steps, you'll get the most accurate and complete insights from your NOWATCH.

Do you track menstrual cycle?

At the moment, NOWATCH does not offer menstrual cycle tracking. However, it’s a feature that’s on our roadmap, thanks to the many requests we’ve received from users.

While we can’t confirm an exact launch date yet, we’re always exploring new ways to support overall well-being — and menstrual health is an important part of that.
