Data Sharing

Data collected by your NOWATCH is stored locally on your tablet or phone. We cannot access your data unless you agree to share it with us, associated with a randomized code, to help us guide and improve your NOWATCH experience.

How to enable or disable Data Sharing

To enable or disable Data Sharing follow the steps below:

  1. Open to the Now tab.

  2. Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top left corner of the screen.

  3. Under Settings, tap Data sharing.

  4. After reviewing the information on the screen, toggle "Share data with server" to enable or disable it.

How to ensure Data Sharing is enabled

To ensure Data Sharing is enabled so that backed-up data displays in the app:

  1. Toggle Share data with server off and on in the app Settings (gear icon at the top left corner of the Now tab).

  2. Restart the app by closing it completely (swipe it up and away), then reopen it.

  3. Wait a few minutes for the app to sync; it may take some time for the data to appear again.

Restoring your Data

When you enable Data Sharing, you can easily restore your backed-up data after deleting and reinstalling the app (available only on iOS devices).

This feature is especially helpful in the following cases:

  • Seamlessly transitioning to a new phone without losing your data.

  • Restoring your data after troubleshooting app-related issues.

If you switch to a new iPhone, the data stored on your old device will automatically sync to the app on your new iPhone once you log in and connect it.

This means your Timeline and Overview data will be restored without the need for manual import, allowing you to pick up right where you left off.
