Watch hand positions and what they mean

The position of the watch hands can indicate the current state of your NOWATCH.

Watch hands move to 12:00

When your NOWATCH is placed on the charger, the watch hands automatically move to 12:00. This indicates the device is charging correctly. 

Once charging is complete, open the app to allow the device to sync and update the hands to the correct time.

Note: If you travel to a different time zone, open the app so the watch can sync and update the hands accordingly.

Watch hands move to 6:30

If the battery becomes fully drained, the watch hands move to 6:30. This indicates that the device no longer has enough power to operate.

Enable low battery notifications

Enabling low battery notifications helps you avoid your device reaching a fully drained battery. This prevents the watch hands from moving to the 6:30 position and helps ensure the time remains accurate after the device is recharged.

Watch hand drift over time

Over time, the watch hands may drift slightly (by a few minutes per month), which is normal. You may also notice some drift after intense physical activity. If this happens, you’ll need to set the time again via the app.
